Coricorp continues to invest for a sustainable sugar industry in South Africa. Since 2011, when Coricorp purchased Plett Mill, we have invested heavily in the mill and the extensive cane rail network that carries sugar cane to it. We are a leader in agricultural bioindustry. Our mill produces raw sugar and molasses syrup which is exported to the grid. We are also a major producer of granulated brown and white sugar.

Molasses Syrup
In short, molasses is a dark, thick syrup, a byproduct of sugarcane or beet refining. Boiling sugarcane or beet juice to evaporate excess water leaves behind a sticky syrup. It also contains the minerals and vitamins left behind during the refining process, making it a nutrient-rich sweetener. It has a strong, earthy flavor. It is later used to make certain alcoholic beverages and traditional medicines for distillation. Ideal for making your own rum. Brix – 78%.
